ULTIMOLA FAVOLA PER SEMPRE | TOR VERGATA 2026
On 4 July 2026 Ultimo played a single concert on the open field of Tor Vergata, on the south-eastern edge of Rome. The show was called La favola per sempre, and 250,332 people bought a ticket, a number Guinness World Records later certified as the most tickets ever sold for a pop concert by a male solo artist. Blearred designed the lighting and ran it on the night.
The idea of the evening sat in the last two words of its title. The show turned "per sempre" into an infinity sign and used it twice. A 30 metre runway shaped like the symbol cut into the crowd. Above the stage, Ultimo's signature in light hung over a large infinity, carried by two cranes and moved by 46 motors. Forty-seven Prolights SunBlast fixtures are built into the sign, so it lights itself and still reads from the far end of the field.
The stage ran 140 metres wide on 34 towers, with about 2,500 square metres of LED. In front of it, the audience stretched back roughly 700 metres. Blearred placed around 300 fixtures across the 38 delay towers, wash units and RoboSpot-tracked follow spots, so the back of the field was lit as well as the stage.
More than 1,500 lighting points in all. Eight pods hung behind the infinity, came down in front of the LED at the peaks and rose back into the roof to free the screens. Three grandMA3 consoles ran the show, about 80 per cent of it on timecode, tuned over three full rehearsals on the field.
Lemonandpepper developed the show and designed the stage for Vivo Concerti, in close contact with Ultimo's management. Andrea Gallo of SUGO created the visuals, working them out in conversation with the artist and his manager. STS Communication supplied the LED and Luigi Antonini directed the cameras. Mister X supplied the lighting, and Agorà the sound and light on the delay towers. For Blearred, Davide Pedrotti and Jordan Babev designed the lighting, with Ivan Russo as project manager and Elisa Fiumanò as project coordinator. Matteo Masini worked on 3D design and previz, Marzio Del Sole on the 3D model and Francesco Rizzotto on the CAD and drawings. Francesco Mingoia, Matteo De Salvia, Nicolò Maffeis and Roberto Andreotti programmed the show and ran it on site.
The last row got its own light.
