MAX MARAMFW | SEPTEMBER 2026

FASHION · 2026

On 24 September 2026, at half past nine in the morning, Max Mara showed its Spring Summer 2027 collection, Far Horizon, at the Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan. Blearred designed the lighting.

The old ice rink was carpeted white from wall to wall. Long white benches curved around a straight runway, with a paper bag waiting on every seat. Ian Griffiths built the collection on the women who travelled alone in the 1930s, in linen and safari shirts.

The hall takes its light from the roof. A steel structure with long rows of skylights lets the morning in, and at that hour the sun cuts across the white walls in hard diagonal blades. Blearred worked with it. The show light held the runway in an even, warm white so the linens kept their colour, and the sunlight was left on the walls and over the front rows as it came.

For Blearred, Ivan Russo and Matteo Masini were lighting designers, and Matteo Moro operated the show.
