ETROMFW | SEPTEMBER 2025

FASHION · 2025

Etro approached its Milan Fashion Week 2025 show with a bold visual language that celebrated material, color, and movement. Blearred was invited by Random Productions to design the lighting for the event, with the goal of creating an environment that enhanced the photography, elevated the garments, and supported the live performance that defined the rhythm of the runway.

The initial phase of the project was developed with technical precision and a strong visual sensitivity. Within our studio, Matteo Masini led the lighting design, focusing on a scientific approach to the exposure of the garments. Each piece had to be visible and balanced from every angle, ensuring that both the live audience and the press could experience the collection in its best light. The same attention was extended to video coverage, as the entire show was streamed live. The visual consistency between the physical and digital dimensions of the event became a defining part of the design process.

The runway was connected to a performance stage built for La Niña, the emerging artist who performed live during the show. The stage was conceived as a narrative element, both functional and expressive, blending seamlessly with the runway environment. As a scenic backdrop, we used an Austrian drape that introduced a sense of theatrical tension and movement. The lighting for the stage followed a warm, immersive palette, inspired by the intimacy and texture of a club setting. It created a glowing atmosphere that framed the performance and amplified its emotional energy.

On site, the implementation and programming of the show were handled by Mattia Carli, who translated the design intentions into cues and timings with precision. The coordination of the entire process was managed by Ivan Russo, Blearred’s technical manager, together with Elisa Fiumanò, who oversaw logistics and maintained a focused workflow across all departments. The creative direction of the programming was guided by Jordan Babev, ensuring that every lighting cue remained faithful to the artistic vision. The CAD design was developed by Francesco Rizzotto and Olek Mar’Yanov, who defined the system layouts and technical geometry that structured the lighting rig.

Cecilia Magnozzi, assistant scenic designer at Blearred, curated all presentation materials for the stage, including sketches, renderings, and visual layouts prepared for the client. Marzio Del Sole developed the 3D design of the organic and sculptural elements featured in the presentation and later used in production.
